Wiper Blade replacement
My blades are now shot and need to shop for some new ones. Probably to shift the upcoming snow ! I have tried a search but not found any specific recommendations. I have seen the Valeo Silencio recommended in Auto Express a bit ago, but have also seen these slagged off elsewhere. What do you guys ha...

Robert, thanks for the direction. Now all I need is a dry day and some daylight to take another look at it. Weather has pi##ed it down the last couple of days. I must say the temporary bodge with 1 cm strip of gaffer overlapping the glass and plastic seal has worked amazingly for now. Car is bone dr...

Out with the watering can and some bottles this morning to try and pin down the source. Carefully pouring water round wiper arm, air intake and then finally windscreen seal - bingo I think I found it. On very carefully pouring water down the windscreen I stood and watched it run off the end of the w...

Passenger footwell leak
I have had an issue for a while with wet carpet on the passenger side collecting on and under the carpet mat which till now was very infrequent and just a minor pain in the ar#se, occuring only after heavy rain. On investigation, after the recent frequent bouts of non stop torrential rain the ingres...

My 2.2 had the usual very slight pin heads round the chrome closer but also a little 4-5 inches away from the closer. Could almost describe it as a very slight and small uneven blemish under the paint and would not notice if I had not picked it up on here. Thanks guys. Car is 5 years old and fixed u...

Someone's car must have your coloured stripes unless they have fixed it toute suite. A few years ago one of my mirrors got busted off on Christmas day. We had just sat down to Crimbo dinner and this little old lady knocked the door and said she had just done the deed. She fully coughed the bill much...

Double skin no probs with inside frost, again Rain x anti fog stuff limited use in my opinion. Best advice from jhb 1 above, set clock early. warm her up, give the rear window a blast with the warm air and off you go. Really makes you appreciate warm dry mornings and setting the clock 10 mins early ...

Heated seat conundrum
Cold weather is setting in and I have a bit of an issue with the driver seat heater. Passenger side is fine in both high & low temp setting. Driver side used to be bum toasting very warm at high setting and just about right at low setting. Now it is still very warm at high setting but negligible...

Never having been on a cruise I think any opportunity to get a better insight in to what to expect and how to go about it is probably a good idea. There a lot of very experienced drivers and cruisers on this forum, from what I can gather. I for one would not like think I was spoiling someone else's ...

Halifax / Huddersfield area tyre fitters
Anyone recommend a decent tyre fitter / garage in the Halifax / Huddersfield ish area where I could get some Falkens fitted if I buy them myself or get them delivered to the garage. don't want to get the wheels trashed. I have never tried it this way before and cost wise it seems the way to go.

Worst time of year I know, but it depends how much you need or want to swap cars. If you are not hugely fussed hang out for more, if you don't get it walk away and wait a bit longer. I saw, fell in love and bought mine in between xmas and New year last year. Best of luck either way if you stick or t...
