Having sorted several Z3's tramlining problems, First make sure you have good new (under 6 year old tires on the front) Second, change is the front control arm rear rubber bushings. My Mora Z3 came out from the UK to New Zealand in 2005. Now has 101,000 miles on her. She was a bit of an abused car when I got her out of Auckland in January this year. I have fitted the Meyle control arms, tie-rods, shocks, struts and various rubber bushings. All good quality from a German manufacturer who also supplies BMW. By the way, don't fit the standard rear control arm bushings, too weak, wear out quickly and are the main cause of tramlining in the Z3. Use ...

Maybe purchase a strong strut brace, use the end rings as the mounting and fabricate the beam to attach to the two bolts on each ring. Means it will be safely mounted and not likely to slip. Plus you'll have a strong strut brace to fit to your favorite Z3 http://s227.photobucket.com/user/kelvinhao/m...

Some of the DME/ECU reset information here is starting to sound like 1980's and Interweb folk lore. Every one has read it somewhere on the interweb so it must be true. Yes its the secondary air pipe that goes between the pump and the valve on the engine. Secondary air only operates for about 30 seconds when the engine is started. Think of it as a system that produces a flame thrower that heats the cat's up really quickly to reduce emissions. Should you remove it? ...

One way to check which diff you have and not lay down rubber or other questionable driving maneuver is to jack the car up, remove the diff filler plug and insert an inspection camera to see what your diff internals look like.
