Hi all, yet another question - the small bore rubber rad hose from rad to expansion tank, mine seems to weep from the end of the hose as if it is delaminating - anyone had similar prob? Both clips are the silly crimp on, cut off ones so i guess its hose clips to replace or can i use spring clips? an...

hi, do you get a nice induction roar with your k & n, as mine is quiet as a mouse ! by the way, to get more cold air, i removed the back cover of the headlamp as the bilbs are sealed anyway, this allows more airflow.

That should sort it out !! let me know how the car feels after replacing the hose. i had a look at mine and all looks good at first glance but i guess without removal there could be a split hiding underneath ! Hopefully you will be able to fully enjoy your new car :)

cheers guys, this is my next job :!: just for info eurocarparts do lemforder arms for £90 and using "CLICKPART25" gives 25% off so both arms and powerflec bushes under £200 :D

cheers, the only pain then might be removing rear bush from old bush from wishbone, removing rubber part and fitting powerflex inserts ( which i already have !) thanks for advice, will save me at least £120 labour and a pack of plasters is only a pound :D

morning, zed passed mot yesterday, all good except for both ball joints have bit of wear and both front wishbone rear bushes getting on a bit... have been reading old threads about powerflex bushes ( thanks mike fishwick for all your advice ) hopefully sorting these will stop wandering at front end....

Had same problem turned out to be the tilt sensor. i disconnected it and no more problems. its in the one of boot. hope this helps

hi, i have a 2001 2.2 titanium edition which is virtually sport spec ( m seats, lsd, 17" staggered wheels etc) and its my daily drive. it averages 31 mpg and thats with a bit of mixed driving. i would imagine the 2.8 is even better due to less revving but the 2.2 is no slouch. feel free to ask ...

cheers guys, only thing that put me off at the birmingham depot was when i said my 2.2 has 2 pipes from the cat back and 2 pipes into the rear box and 2 tail pipes, the guy went uuuuuuh, not so sure mate! normally we only have 1 in and out. might be worth a ride down to discuss but no doubt the orig...

Sorted, was the rubber bung on the disa unit, totally split. Ironically when i checked my car, that one is split too! Nice simple fix and no more snake impressions when the engine is turned offr. :D Just another quick query, posibly related to this vacuum leak - the 2.0 has the flap in the rh exhaus...

sorry, a bit more info - the noise seemsa around the throttle body area but the flexi pipe seems ok at first glance although without removing it i can't rule it out. are there any other vac hoses etc that could cause this, thanks in advance :)

hissing noise in engine bay

Evening, bit of a strange one - when turning off the engine on my 1999 2.0 there is a hissing noise from the lhs of the engine bay. it happens for a few seconds after turning off the engine. car runs fine as far as i can tell, any ideas? cheers.
