Well, I changed from a Michelin front/Avon rear to Avons all round (ZV5's) and as said, no more tramlining.

Re: Best tyres to eliminate tramlining

Lots of people have their own preferences. But the ones I have counted as appearing most on this forum for curing tramlining are Avon ZV5 I had 2 Avon ZV5's on the rear and 2 part worn Michelins on the front when I got Z3lda, and suffered from quite bad tramlining. I put 2 Avon ZV5's on the front t...

Helmingham Hall 2016

My wife Chris and I had a super day at Helmingham Hall Classic and Sports Car Festival a couple of Sundays ago. We met again with some Z3 owners I got to know at last years meet. One of them, John, didn't have a Z3 then, but he said I was so enthusiastic about them that he hunted out a lovely silver...

How I Was Humbled!

I often drive down to West Sussex, where my wife and I lived for over 30 years, before moving to Norfolk 3 years ago. I always drive both ways overnight to avoid traffic and queues, usually non stop. The last time I drove down there was a spate of motorway junction closures, the first one being at t...

I used a plastic type, worked quite well but mine snapped so I'm looking for another type may be a mesh type peter2b The plastic must have been too thin as I have a plastic one done 70 plus with it and was ok. It could be a generational thing. I'm 67 and the styling of the Z4 does nothing for me :shrug , whereas the Z3, to my eyes is a thing of beauty. My son is 39 and he loves the Z4, and thinks the Z3 is old fashioned.
