Even with it off the engine still has to drive the compressor.
Forgot to say this is for the M coupe
So won't be driving with the roof down :lol:

Removing Air Con

I understand that if you remove the air con more power can be gained. If this is true has anyone done it? Is it a simple matter of disconnecting all the relevant parts. The air con belt seems to drive the compressor pump and another unit that sits below it. Anyone help?

The wheel will fit but you have to modify it to make your slip ring fit. The Air bag will not work

as long as the indicator flashes amber its fine. I will have a pair of headlights from a Z3M for sale shortly wit the clear indicators. great condition looking for around £250 for the pair

Have just taken delivery of a 1999 MZ coupe with a blown engine. :)

Sorry I disagree I have HIDs fitted to normal headlights no problems passed 2 MOTs with them and never get flashed by on coming traffic

I have in my collection of Zeds an S reg 1.9 with about 110,000 miles on the clock. Not leather or roll hoops. runs great passed MOT in Jan. Went on a 100 mile trip yesterday still runs fine, however it has damage to the drivers door,wing and sill. Not sure whether to repair or break. If any members...

I would second that also have your battery checked as I would imagine the initial start is taking a lot of current ( more in colder weather ) but should be able to hold enough charge if you are using the car on a regular basis.

The best thing with steptronic you can modify the slip ring and fit a steering wheel with paddle shift great fun :lol: Just done it on my 5 series
