I think that’s good advice. You’ll get a lot of different views otherwise. And there’s not really enough information to be accurate.

The fact it’s Estoril Blue and has low mileage should help.

Anywhere between £3k-£5k depending on exact condition. But you probably know that much already.

This is BMW (the BMW) on ebay.

They are normally £25.12 but as luck would have it they are currently discounted by 10% to £22.62. That's a good deal.

Have you loosened the quarter glass bolts, pulled the quarter glass in towards the car and tightened it under tension? That's how I solved my issue in that location. Are you 100% sure it's coming from there? Have you definitely sealed the door membrane correctly, with butyl tape? Are there any holes...

My best guess would be that something else in the system is either distorted and exerting undue pressure on the connection - like the cooling loop it connects to at the other end. It's not unknown for the cooling loop to get bent, eg an old accident repair. Or that the hoses are not properly secured...

You'd only have 2 mounting points without the pin which may not be enough to stop the torque unseating it I guess. I wouldn't leave it out.

I'll have a look on my brother's 1.9 tomorrow (if i remember - busy day) and see if I can figure out something. I'm not sure cutting it is either wise or easy.

It will almost certainly be the locating pin seized. You can drift it out from the other side. I've had to do that twice but it was on engines out of the car. So I can't think if there is room to do it in situ. You can use all the releasing fluid you want but it won't really help. It gets very stuck...
