Mine failed once on emissions lambda too high. This was down to a spilt in the air intake hoses after the MAF
Check these first as they are a regular problem at this age and they are only about £13 each from BMW.

maybe the head gasket had blown causing high pressure in the flange and breaking that. It could be a result of a problem not the cause of it

you will find just taking off the handbrake will make it drop/.
If you jacked it up with the handbrake on when it is lowered again the wheel locks the supension in the raised position. thats all

if you use bolt to hub type make sure they are steel spacers and not aluminium, I run steel ones 20mm wide and they are perfect for my use.

I blast my roof with the pressure washer every time I clean the car, Snow foam then 140 bar. No green mould in sight. Yes there is a member on here that had a rear strut brace pinched and it was only when inspecting under the car a few months later that it was noticed.
Now that makes me believe they are not doing that much, or the effect is not shown very much in daily driving

I had pirellis on a z3 before, and they were atrocious ditch finders. P6000 I think they were.

Also front fog light moaners have seemed to ignore these new turn lights where the relevant side fog lamp is lit to turn. but put the two on together and they have a fit

probably the engine shut off is why they hold the footbrake on.

Aftermarket wheels wouldn't make the wheels not centre in the arch, unless they're oval! He didnt say they arent central, he says they are set too far back into the arch. if the wheel is back into the arch then i would say the offset is wrong he is talking front to rear of car, not offset or inset....

I have bolt on spacers on mine which I believe are safer. however they are steel and are 20mm wide as opposed to those aluminium ones used on the GTR. Yes, from what I've seen of their pricing. It's a stitched in window. All aftermarket ones are stitched in even the ones that are sold for £700.
