You could try part number 11 72 7 545 323 which is listed as vacuum hose 3.2mm. That's what I fitted to our 2.0 when the air pump hose perished. You should be able to get one from a dealer. The part number appears to be 36136781150 (but do check it!). They are probably 2 or 3 pounds each but might have to be ordered in. You could try a breakers as they seem to be the same as the e36 series (and probably more).

If you go down the braided pipe route it might be worth checking with your insurance company. A lot of companies have braided brake hoses on their list of modifications which need to be declared.

Vanos oil pipe

Does anyone have an old vanos oil pipe they don't want, please (or just the banjo off the end). I'm making up a shouldered banjo bolt to fit an M3 evo oil filter housing to an M52TU engine and a banjo would make sure I get the dimensions of the bolt right before I pull everything down. Thanks, Ian.

Do you get water out of the jets with the bonnet up? If the problem is only with the bonnet closed, check the pipe where it bends at the bonnet hinge - this can get kinked and then the flow stops.

As you come to the bumpy part of the road, apply the handbrake a couple of clicks to tension the cables a little (not enough to put the brake on). If the rattle goes away then you need to adjust the handbrake. It can be a very annoying rattle and is, I think, quite common.

I think that you will find that bank 2 comes from cylinders 4,5 & 6 and sensor 2 is the one behind the cat (if the 2.8 has 2 cats like the 2.0 then it will be the sensor behind the cat fed by cylinders 4-6).

The total length of the Tenax pin is 38.7mm and the threaded portion is 27.4mm long. The spacer (made of plastic) is 11.1mm long, 8.2mm in diameter and has a hole through it which is 4.2mm in diameter. I hope this helps you to make a couple up. Ian

Mine is a 1999 facelift but I use the 20 pin connector with INPA and don't have any trouble. I do use a serial cable rather than a USB one but that's because the laptop I use is old and only has USB1 but does have a serial port. I can't see why you should have any difficulty with INPA.

I think you'll find that it is only the old M3 non-evo bushes that you CAN fit which alter the camber as they are eccentric. If you fit the Z3M or M3 evo bushes (part number 31.12.9.069.035), these don't alter the camber as they are concentric. These are the ones I fitted and the camber didn't change.
