Re: Still Can't Trace Door Mirror Fuse Problem
If your car has the winter pack on it, it will also have heated mirrors and heated washer jets, can you confirm if you have heated washer jets? Can you confirm that it is not the blower motor that is taking out the fuse? i.e. replace the fuse then turn the blower on? As Blades has said, if you leave...

Thermostat was my first thought, you may need to renew the oil, if you have been running like that for a while the oil will become contaminated.kjb1 wrote:exhaust changed, new thermostat in place. No fuel smells now present [emoji1]

its a nut, reach under the bumper to get to it (on mine anyway but mine isnt oem bumper) Yep Steel nut on a plastic nozzle :head: that needs accessing from behind, a bit of a pain to remove with the bumper in place, easy enough to drop off the front bumper though. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums...

The Bulls in the gearknob are small LEDs and are not replaceable, as Lancsbob has stated the most common failure for these going out is a short in the cable leading to the gearknob, unfortunately this is not a fused circuit and it does take the rheostat inside the light switch out when this happens,...

Sounds like you've had a bit of a journey so far, Im a little sceptical regarding the 4 wheel alignment! this cannot be done on a Z3 unless you have have fitted the rear caster/camber adjustment plates and/or bushes. The advise given is good, a lot of this is down to tyres but as our cars get older ...

You can do both the rear beam and trailing arms in situ by lowering one side at a time. I did it this way, but next time I would drop the whole axle. It might take longer to get to the bit you want to change, but then it will go much faster. The key thing is having the correct tools to pul and inse...

I dont see how it could be done in situ. I dropped the subframe a foot so the bushes were clear of the studs. Made my own tool. There may be a post about it years ago. TBH Bob, knowing now what I know I would drop the whole rear beam and trailing arm assembly, you need to remove the exhaust, handbrake cables from within the car, prop shaft and brake hoses. With these disconnected you can drop the whole lot, the rear trailing arm bushes are easy enough to replace b...

I have the tool to do the rear beam bushes, it's for hire if you need it. Changing in-situ can be done, took me about 4hrs, bloomin tricky though.

A H&R ARB kit is a bolt on option that will certainly help, maybe also think about replacing the bushes around the car @76k they are bound to be getting tired. You have a choice when updating bushes to either stay OEM or Powerflex etc. just renewing to new OEM bushes will make a difference.
