Re: Top door panel loose

This trim is retained by five screws. The four nearest the front of the car are reasonably easy to see and remove. A mirror is a great help in locating them. The fifth screw at the back (where your shoulder is with the door up) is extremely difficult to locate and fix. This screw is the only one whi...

The course is conducted in German.

Fascinating post Tony.

Amazed the Z1 did not go at £47k. I am clearly out of touch. What price an Alpina RLE?

As regards the Dino, I imagine that lb. for £ this must be the most expensive bucket of ferrous oxide in existence! Who was moaning about our plastics?

£40,000 for a Z1 in 1989 sounds a bit rich to me. Perhaps that was a "Sunday Times" price when people wanted them immediately. List price January 1990 was £30,000.
I have the invoice!

From what I know and have read nothing was 'standard' in the UK from 1990. The Bavaria C was probably standard or an optional accessory in other markets when the Sony Z1 finished. If there was any other situation I would expect it to show up on the Real OEM site. This shows only the Sony Z1 unit and...

Not sure about CD43 in a Z1. Unlikely to be an easy fit. Firstly the opening in Z1 fascia is fairly flimsy plastic offering little strength. The CD43 and the earlier CD RDS securely mount in BMWs with metal plates which, with an allen key, move outwards to wedge against the rigid side of the later B...
