Switch Illumination

Hi I have not used my car at night for some time (!) but from memory the window lifter switches on the central console were illuminated. Neither of mine have illumination now and I assume that if the switches have bulbs they are minature and not replaceable. Would appreciate confirmation of my units...

I got the information from the 2001 journal of the BMW Z1 Club e.V.

GG If that doesn't work it is simply a matter if adjusting the track rod ends. As long as you turn the left and right arms an equal number of turns or fractions of a turn the tracking will not alter. It may be a bit of a fiddle and you may need a couple of tries but it will give you finer adjustment...

If you have a problem getting the indicator lens screws I recall that they are identical to ones used by Fiat at about the same time.
I'm sure someone will have a better memory than I have and tell you the model (Brava?) in case the BMW part is unavailable!

Tony. I had a problem recently; the car would start and run but as soon as under load would stutter and slow. It was the coil. I may have a spare if you want to try a substitutuion. They are an expensive item.
