Hi Chris, I think Jet was being serious as there is no emoji in his response! Apparently the M20 engine is known for tappet noise, so this seems the most likely source. You will find several YouTube videos on the noise and the appropriate valve adjustment. Let us know if you have any success. Pat

My Z1 'Image' arrived today. Fantastic. Really pleased, but not sure I will frame it. Might just stick it on the garage wall above the car!

Hi Compact, I believe when last available they were just under £300 each! Don't think they are currently available. BMW are in the habit of producing these parts in batches now when they deem it necessary. The prices of many BMW Classic Parts have seen high price rises over the last 5 or so years. Pat

Hi,

What I believe you have is the hinge part of the Z1 fuel filler flap. It can only be bought with the flap. The part number you quote is for the flap with hinge part.
