The propshaft has 2 universal joints which are not renewable. ie. they don't have circlips to remove the + inner piece. Here's the final word on the M54 motor as fitted into the 3.0 Z3, All M54 motors use oil, It isn't just the Z3's. The reason is quite simple and can be permanently sorted, but at some expense. The M54 motor has 3 piston rings Top = Compression ring Middle = 2nd compression ring Bottom = Oil ring. Th...

The task of adjusting is fiddly as Boosh says. What is more "fiddly" and what your serviceman is referring to as not a straight forward job,is to get the same degree of grab on each of the back wheels so they both act equally. The "fine tuning" of adjustment after the initial adj...

In a word - yes. I really don't like it.
The holes are easily repaired and a bit of a paint job won't do any harm. I'm not in a rush, so if I sell it, I'll do the repairs at that time. If I don't sell it and I decide to take it off, it'll be because I want to do the job at that time.

Your choices to get a couple of inches are limited to having a professional relocate the mounting studs (front) and threaded bolt holes (rear) to which the seat base rails are fixed. Alternately, you can check the current position of the holes in the seat slides and see if there's a couple of inches...
