The doorhandel is returning by a smal spring.
The spring is held by the plastic cover inside the door.
The plastic cover is broken so the spring in not held anymore
Question is can the doorhandel mechanisme be removed frome the inside or the outside of the frame.

Z1 The doorswitchlever on the inside will not return

Had the same problem.
Went to a body repairshop and the sand all the dents and scratches away and painted the glass. Perfect fore more than 1.5 year now.

I have coverd the two parts left and right of the airbag centerpart with carbonn wrap folie.
Royal steeringwheel dit the wheel.

Yep sits at the back of the headlamps and is indeed for ventilation and the shape avoid water to come in.

But another method of checking is to raise both rear wheels and turn one wheel. The opposite wheel will turn in the same direction if you have an LSD . My opposite wheel is thurning into the other direction but the told me that the differendspeed of the wheel block the lsd and i must say it works ve...

The excentric ones are special and more fore trackdays or race The best to go is the Z3m full rubber, notthing to adjust and not a hard ride and tramlining reduced. The exhaust is original. Original exhaust have a double skin, the outer skin is mostly rusted. I took off the outerskin and fixet the inside with several new plates and sillencer stuf. Then i have covered the hole thing with stainless steel plates and welded together and looks like new and has the o...

Nice job, did all this on my car already. Changed 4 wheel arch liners because the became brittle. The cost about €120 a piece by BMW in 2012 I also have changed the rubbers at the back of the exhaust and made a small modification on it. The weight of the exhaust puls the rubber far down. Mine dit not rattle, car was running good and had power enough Came from a VW golf with 110HP in to a 3.0 with 231 HP and then you dont mis 10 or 20 Hp. To get the car in top condition i changed the Double Vanos and the disa valve. Frome that moment i had a complete different car and a better runnig...

Coud be a hard job make is not important more the way you put it in.
Fore me it was hard to get the old bearing out.

I had a simular problem.
Took al the enginecovers off, engine runs and sprayed brakeclaenig bit by bit in all corners (not on exhaust) and see if the idle speed changes when spray in the enginebaycorners and on the hoses

You can see there is a lot off differences in price. It has not much to do with year of build. Its all in relation to looks and maintenance and what your expactation is. A bad serviced care gone cost a lot if yo have to do all the work into a shop. If you do it your self you can use aftermarket part...

You can ask E30 shop in belgium the do a lot with 6 cylinder engines.

Always bad when you have this trouble.
I dont now from wich model you can use the cilinderhead
but i now that a 2.5 engine from other models wil not fit into a z1.
The engine mountingstud is on a different place.

Always difficult to tell. When a car like a Z1 is ruined it cost a lot of effort and money to get it back to its original condition. It also depends on how handy you are . On the z3forum.nl in Holland the have changed the rear vieuwmirror and made a howto for it.
The used a Cosmic blindspot mirror and it will fit all the electronics needed.

Front turnlights
Changing a bulb from the turnlight front.
Broke both special screws.
1 orange and 1 wit/clear 63132291035 and 63132291742
BMW do not deliver those anymore.
Someone has any idee where to get those screws or an solution how to solves this problem.

Thanks for the reply but the z1 has a different driveshaft.
It running into a pipe wich is connected to the gearbox and the diff.
To change the disk the hole piece have to be taken in to pieces but i dont now how.
On my z3 i have changed the disc with no problem.
See you have also a frogeye

I think the hardydisc from my z1 has wornout.
In between the gearbox and the diff is a fixed tube in wich the drive shaft turns.
Someone ho now how to change the disc and how much work it maybe.
All tips and tricks an adjustments are welcome.
