Sterling Facelift z3 , 2.2i , 119k , 18inch alloys REDUCED

Post by GBz3 »

I'm a bit of a lurker on here (shy girly sorry) , but i'm selling my z3 for something more practical , probably a e46 compact or tourer :|

Priced to sell quick £2750

BMW z3 (2001 facelift) , Sterling grey (stunning colour)

Mot due 13th march 2014
Tax due May 2013
119k miles
History folder

Showing 5 green bars on service interval
(had new discs and pads on front , handbrake cable and sparkplugs on last service) , serviced with OEM filters and premium oil
my partner is a mechanic and services both our cars and uses INPA etc to check engine codes and reset SI as per BMW would (he owns a 540i and this is my toy)

2.2 litre 6 cylinder engine , runs lovely , pulls well , no smoke , no noises.
Lifetime pipercross airfilter in OEM air box.
5 speed manual
electric seats , black leather
jvc headunit with 3.5mm jack input and small form subwoofer in the map pocket (unbelievable quality sound)
Headlights projected with LAMIN-x headlight projection (in subtle black tint)
Front fog protected with LAMIN-x in yellow , looks nice
Stock numberplate brick removed in favour of a vinyl stick on plate (retains the lines much better) , still have original mount and plate if not to taste
wind deflector fitted to rollover hoops (tinted)
OEM bmw mudflaps (as we all know a must on a z3)
18 inch alloys with correct wheel spacers on the rear to prevent tramlining
also can include 16 inch winter OEM wheels with winter tyres that are like new and painted in Satin black and shock blue for an extra £200 (like i said , cherished car , no winter salt on these wheels :D)
Has the nicer m-style steering wheel , silver gearknob also (both OEM)
Comes with tonneau cover (see pictures)
full tool kit
Recent new battery (my partner fitted this even though it didn't need one , just incase for winter etc)

Washed weekly. Driven daily as these cars should be. Drives lovely even with the larger wheels.

Viewing encouraged , I looked at several cars before buying this one from an elderly gentleman in south wales , he was also very fastidious in his maintenance.

Faults : (we all have some)
small bubble of paint under bootlock
the plastic window on the hood is a little fatigued and has a small crack the length of a 50p , but does not leak
tiny crack in perspex on instrument cluster
2 very small dings from inconsiderate people with car doors (really hard to see)

Photographs (apologies for the vast number but hey , better than one):

Contact details (for my more knowledgable other half)
Graham - email - keep_th@manfoot.in
or call 07772 651867 (after 2pm but up until late 4am)
Email is better as he works nights , he can often reply quicker too due to the nature of his job (he's an engineer in a noisy place)

Just sticks better to a flat surface with less creases etc , also I always liked the alfa's like that , I have the original if people don't like

Paintwork is original the screw holes haven't been filled :)

Nice looking motor-- Interested in the comment about rear spacers-- Bought my car ( 2000 Z3 2.8 )and it already had 18" wheels on it, but they do tramline a bit - - usually when I'm not paying attention-- I dont have any spacers on the rears--What is the ''correct spacer'' size to cure the tramlining ??? Thanks

Depends on the offset of the wheel , the wheels fitted on this are et38 , and the rears are spaced 25mm

Tramlining is not totally eliminated , but vastly reduced.

fit a 25mm spacer and see how it is , make sure to get hubcentric spacers and remember your tyre will be closer to the wheel arch lip by 25mm

If you bothered to actually check, he has been a member since May last year, so no he didn't. Please leave it to the mods to decide whether an advert is to be allowed or not.

I'll try to clarify

The car belongs to my Missus , Maggie

My name is graham , I also own a BMW but its a little less Erm refined you might say :-)

We signed up on here , when we bought this car to see if there was any parts local for sale , etc and for the advice , which is excellent!

Maggie doesn't want to sell it , but unfortunately we need 4 seats and a boot!
