HI

I am looking for a set of heated seat switches for a 1999 2.0l post facelift Z3.... anybody got some?

Can someone also advise me, what will I find already in the car - I have seen some switches on ebay and some are just a switch, some have a yellow connector and some have a yellow connector with wires on them.... Which/what do I need

The wiring for the switches that fit into the console should be behind the consle as part of the main car wiring loom. The seats themselves should be fitted with the heating element, which connects to the main car wiring loom under the seat. The colour of the connectors under the seat I can't comment on...The seats / connectors should be compatible obviously, and as I understand it, there is a variation between the connectors on standard seats / sports seats and M seats... So, whichever car you have, you will need the correct seats to match the commectors of the existing wiring loom, or change the connectors... :wink:

Cheers SB... thats what I hoped regards the wiring... looking further online, the switches I need are 61 31 2 491 477 -

That number means zip to me....there are 2 types...One is the "square" faced type, and the other has "round" domed buttons...
I found both these on eBay UK right now...search under "BMW Z3 Heated seat switch..." :wink:

Yep - its 2 of the top ones I need with the round buttons...... theres 1....
