Lowering suspension kit for Z3 SOLD

Post by Pierrick »

Hi all, I bought some shocks and springs from Dallantan on this forum a little while ago.

I never went around fitting them and I think it is better for me to sell them to someone who will use them!

This is where Dallan bought them:
http://www.apcoilovers.com/ap_coilover_ ... .php?id=79

I don't know much about shocks but I've been told this is good quality, and you can see the differance when you have them in your hands, the rods and body are much bigger.

Dallan used them for a few hundred miles (500 if I remember well) before to swap to hydraulics suspensions.

I would say the front suspentions are in good condition. Just need change the top mounts and the lock nut at the top.
On the rear springs the paint is flaking but you can do a quick paint job or have them sand blasted and repainted. And the rears adjusters are anodised aluminium and in perfect condition.

I'm living in Milton Keynes and will be at Silverstone Classic all week end, so if anyone is interested this would be perfect to avoid paying any shippement!
I paid 350£ from Dallan. I would like to break even but if not many are interested I will accept the best offer.

Here are some photos:

Anyone??? Make me an offer!

And I forgot to say. You can use the rear springs with your original shocks. I have some old shocks with this kit but they are not good to use any more.

I also have the key/wrench to adjust the front and rear height.

Perhaps it's best to go to the original seller's website to check for suitability, or even send the seller a query about the fitment to a coupe...??

I suspect the M coupe, like the M Roadster has an "upgraded" suspension, and this may not be correct for those cars... ?

For me any 4 cylinders car would be suitable for these, even if it doesn't say 1,9 in the description.

Then for the 6 cylinders I do'nt really know. Are 2,8L, 3,0L and 3,2L heavier or they are the same engine with a bigger bore? If they are the same engine I can't see why the shocks wouldn't be suitable.

Then for M models, I don't know the difference...

Anyway, I just sent an e-mail to someone at Venom Motorsport so hopefully he will be able to answer those questions.
