Wanted - "Roadster" strip for door sill

Post by Pierrick »

Hi all, as stated in the title.

I've been looking tor those on the internet but can't find the rignt one.

What I am looking for is only the strip - new - as mine are a bit tatty.

I found this on e-bay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Used-Roadster ... 0929229785

This is exactly what I'm after But only the strip and new. But I can't find them anywhere!

Any help is welcome.

I would consider buying strips with different writing on it but can't find any new!

Thanks

Have a look here:

Out of stock but on a 6 day order? Bought some pedal covers from these in the past and was very impressed with the service and the quality of the parts.

Thanks for the link but it seems like they are selling the whole door entry cover and I'm looking only for the chrome strip.

I send them an e-mail to know if the could sell the strip separatly.

Anyone with more adresses??

Wanted to replace the chrome strip, not available only ones up for sale included plastic part and no better than the one took off. opted for some full stainless steel not a perfect fit but look better than what was on

We needed one for our Z3 when we had it. Got it from main dealer in Derby. It does come already fitted on the plastic and at least it was an original BMW part

Hi

I have a number of these trims in this sort of condition

Image

Then I remembered that I have (don't ask me how) a couple of these lying around.

Image

They are not quite as wide as the OEM strips

Image

3M on the back already as OEM

Might do a job?

Plenty long enough for you to create something?

How about some chrome vinyl wrap, don't know if it would get down into the roadster logo, but it's cheap and might be worth a go:

Good idea wonderloaf but I'm not sure this will last wery long at this place...

I'm not that desperate but I removed one as it was hurting my eyes every time I was looking at it! The driver side it a bit better.
I expected to find some replacements one quite easily but I don't want to have to change the whole door sill and specially at arouns 60£ the pair... no need for this.

Spurs, I'll send you an PM, might worth a try...

Bought of e bay from sdesign11 (1027)
They were £39 + £3 p&p
Stainless steel removed original chrome strip and adhered to existing plastic trim panel
Not perfect as a fraction wide at the front end but OK
