I can't imagine it would be any different than BMC cleaner / Oil as used by K&N ??
I must ask though, I have a Simota...and for some reason, I am under the impression that the filter doesn't require oiling...?? I am under the impression it's a "DRY" filter which can be cleaned.

I think that you use an airline to clean the filter and no oil is required.

Must admit I always oiled mine, used the K & N kit. Comes with a cleaner and oil. did it every sort of 2000miles or when it looked dirty.

I can't imagine oily air would do the system any good...considering the OEM set-up is "dry". That was one of the reasons I didn't go with the K&N system.. I liked the idea of an easy to clean but effective CAI filter. All that cleaning, oiling etc reminds me of my old MG.
If the Simota filter is in good nick, I don't really think oiling is needed. and it must make the intake of air that much more difficult too??

Many say the oil can contaminate the MAF sensor over time.
