OK I have added you onto the 'interested' list. I need full details to get you on the confirmed list - this goes for everyone.

There are presently 5 cars confirmed and a further 20 on the interested list. Please confirm early if you can.

A lunch venue is now booked - MacDonalds..................only joking. We have a nice place with a Michelin star.

No plans for a cut off just yet. I have lunch booked to suit 20 to 40 people. They can probably accommodate more. I dont want a mad rush at the end but im sure a few late comers wil be fine.
madbrummie wrote:hey, i'm up this way for a charity run on the sunday, where is the end point and what time do you think we'll be done?
The end point is at Boroughbridge (or maybe Wetherby) late afternnon. You are on the list now as confirmed.

Well up for the cruise, but not many Z4's we've noticed! :(

Also, ours is just a bog standard 3.0i. Should I slap some go fasters on the side to avoid being shunned by fellow cruisers?

Guys, don't be worried that you won't be able to keep up if you are short of a few cc's. From experience it really isn't a big issue on the mixed roads of the cruise. You might fall back a little on the long uphill straights but it soon bunches up again. Deano will have it all in hand I'm sure

Thought so, but it's a relief to hear!

I'll be letting Mrs Winky take over the wheel after the pub stop anyway, so that should boost up the average speed :x

Let's hope the weathers kind ey?

UPDATE:

I have had to change the lunch venue since option 1 was unbelievably expensive. The resturant we are going to is limited to 50 people.

We presently have 30 people confirmed in 16 cars.

Please send your confirmations by PM if you want to be included. If numbers get as high as 50 people I will have to limit entry at that.

I will send the menu out nearer the time and need your choices before the event on Wednesday 12th March latest. 2-course lunch is £13 per head.

Cheers,
Mark

E mail has been sent out to all on the confirmed list.

Please send me your menu choices by Monday 10th latest so I can finalise the booking with the resturant.

A few have still to respond.

Note we will be travelling in two groups, at least 16 cars are coming.

Please bring tomtom if you have it with the itinery installed.

Thanks to Tim for his efforts getting the site up and running :thumb:

Cheers,
Mark

Looking forward to meeting up with many familiar faces for my first cruize of 2008.

Did not have a chance to wash my zed either and as we are driving up north tonight already as well, i am sure it will be truly dirty by the time we get there...

Have a safe journey up and see you all on Saturday morning!

Just a quick line to wish everyone all the best for tomorrow, hope that you all have a great day enjoying the Yorkshire roads and the scenery if you get chance to take your eyes off the road.

I'll look out for those heading north on the A1 in the morning - I will be the silver Z4 going south!!!!!!!!! I only live 5 mins away from Ferrybridge but have to go to Cambridge - still I get a day with the Zed.

Yeah, got the car back with a brand spanking new MOT, got the tax sorted on line (I have the e-mail, DVLA recepit and invoice to prove I'm legal) and have brand new rear brakes, so I should be able to stop on a sixpence (a word of warning for whoever is behind me  )

Can't wait for the morning now.
