Okay, so I've just fitted a strut brace across the engine bay of my 2001 2.2i Z3 - as it seems to be a popular mod to do from you guys on here... but now my bonnet won't shut properly, has anyone else encountered this issue?

Probably you got the brace from e36, fitment is the same, but e36 has more space under the bonnet AFAIK. So some of braces from e36 fit fine on z3 and some - not.
