Some of you may know me from forums over the last 25 years.,,, I have been on many and run a few over the years.
I have only had one other BMW 10 years ago which was an E61 530D . I sold my 3.0 Jaguar s type to buy it and 8 months later finished regretting that and sold the E61 to but a 4.0 S-Type. ME and the 530 never gelled.
Scroll on a decade and at the local houshold and antiques auction was a 2000 Z3 which apart from a scuff and broken marker light looked relativly tidy but had no MOT. I only had a quick look at it as I had to browse the other lots for my Micro Mantiques Business. Anyway the invoice for the week dropped and to my surprise I got the Z3 for £605 including fees.
2 rear tyres, a marker light and she passed the MOT.
Since then she has done about 400 miles in 3 weeks ( I was on holiday elsewhere for one ). But has developed a power delivery issue. I susspect rither the Vanos Valves or inlet cam sensor so both are on order, she is postin a P0340 but that still could be either.
Anyway I am quite smittien with the 3, not a car I had paid too much attention to but grown on me. Feels much more mature than my previous MX5 -NC .
