....here are a few further updates...

I was asked about some of the other leather pieces that are available and here are the 2 pieces that cover the steering shroud - they are in 2 perfect pieces just like the shroud itself and are fairly easier to glue direct to the plastic..

Image

...they then fit on as normal, as people know, the shroud itself is just a couple of pieces of plastic that don't fit together perfectly at the best of times but with a bit of tinkering they are back together better than the picture actually gives them credit for - especially when you are looking normally.

Image

I've also continued the little bits of trim detailing with subtle M stitching to the sun visors...

Image

...then the brushed wrap continues on the steering wheel tabs to match the centre console and door trims....

Image

With storage being at a premium in the Z3 I really find these additional cargo nets are very handy for holding maps etc... Here you can also see that the interior is all the same colour now too... something that hasn't happened to this car for sometime !!

Image

just a quick comparison photo to give an indication of the difference between before and now...

Image

..Ok so I haven't been able to finish everything, my seats still need doing as well as my door cards and there are a number of other bits I need to touch up but they will all have to wait as I have had to put the car back together ready for the DTEC Challenge with Deano, Pingu and special guests...but it is going in the right direction...

Where abouts are you talking about on the steering wheel? Very fine sandpaper would get rid of marks but might be worth investing in a retrim from royal steering wheels?

Just a quick update - the hardtop has gone on for the weekend but more importantly some B*%^&rd has kindly parked next to me and then (I assume) reversed his front end down the side of my door - gutted !! :head: :head: :head:

Gutted for you Lee, not an easy dent to get out as there is a crash bar in the door at that height......good luck with the repair.

Ditto, but I'd definitely try dent repairer before contacting insurance.

Good luck with getting it (and them  ) sorted.

Sickening :( :(

I had a small dent on the same level near the rear of the door, dent man managed to remove it by going down by the side of the window glass.

Bad news. Hope the idiot feels guilty for causing the damage.
You can pick up whole doors for ~£100 so that may be an option?

Thanks fella's - yeah I am annoyed and you can guess what I wish for the culprit...

I need to get it to the garage and get the quotes - good to hear some ideas though about how to approach it.

@Deano, yeah ive consider the replacement door option - at the end of the day it might end up being the cheapest option... Ill let you know how it goes.
