Cheers Domross, I did a search on Google for Borbets split rim and came across a VW golf site that had what looks like the same wheels, if so they are Keskin KT1

They are 3-pc Hamann PG1's, manufactured for Hamann by OZ. Available in both 17" and 18".

FYI - A very similar wheel is the Oz Futura.

The OZ Futura is only in 16 and 17 inch available in 4*100. They are very rare

The OZ Futura is available in 18 inch 5*100 in 8,5 and 9,5 *18 ET32, with wheel adapters from 15mm you can mount them :D These wheels are also very rare :bawl:

8,5*18 ET30 will fit, according to your taste you can use a spacer from 5-15mm for each wheel, at the rear even 20mm. But the Keskin only has the three piece look, is not really three piece.
The 10*18 ET25 for the rear axle will fit only for the vin numbers after AL05254

Hi Pierrez, I do like these wheels, and it's hard to find anything descent without converting to 5 stud! Shame it's not genuine split rim, but means there will never be any corrosion round the nuts, :D but they still cost £1800 a set
pierrez1 wrote:

That’s me out of that option then as I’m AL00472 :(

Found this pic of E30, but those back wheels just look bloody stupid, let alone just touching a kerb will damage them! I like my tyres to stick further out than my alloys :D
Image

The question is, is it worth replacing what I already have with the above?

I don´t like the very wide look either :nerd: They are just perfekt like Volker drives them :D

Claus from Felgengarage also has a used set of original Futura´s in 18 inch like I told about. They will cost you about 2400 euro´s but then without tyres

I hope Keskin makes them in 18 inch. I cannot find them on the German site :?: :?:

You can easily compare what look you like the most, you have the same colour Volker has. The wheels make the car like the clothes make the man

A UK dealer is showing:
Keskin KT1 (Size: 8.5x18, et30, 4x100)
Keskin KT1 (Size: 10x18, et25, 4x100)

They can be ordered online, but ill have to give them a call to see if they actually have stock.

hahahaha. Mr T, your favourite catch phrase "OMG, How much?" to just about everything. hahaha

It is alot of money, but when you add the cost of the 2 sets you own, and repaired, its not far off the cost of just getting these, which you are unlikely to change again.

how about 17", handling is not affected.

I have contacted a few shops that have these listed in 18, and been told; Keskin have no stock try in a couple of months :( If you cant get them in Germany, the there's little hope ill get in UK as they are made in Germany.

Called Keskin Customer Service in Germany, they told me the wheels should be available again in 2-4 weeks
Add the time they have to swimm over the Channel then you should have them just in time for next Summer.

Luckily I would not drive it anyway with this weather, but would be nice to go into the garage and have a look at it. Next two weeks it will be ready I hope.

Terry,
there must be other suppliers out there who have imported these from Keskin, have you tried ringing a few of the main UK suppliers?

Pierre, interesting colour scheme, was that your choice or is that how they were initially prepared? Are those carbon fibre rings around the centre caps?

No, I wanted to try out something different. And yes, unlike the originals where it is plastic I did them in original Carbon :D
For my taste it looks very good on the car, in a couple of weeks I will post some pics.

Hi Pierre,
I might have found a supplier in the US that has these in stock for $1,199 + shipping. What is the German list price for the KT1? Cheers

If Yes then that is a good price.
I don't know the price from Keskin but on the German Ebay a set in 16 inch is offered for 829 euro's without tyres. :D

Deep dish alloys

Post by benslick »

OK guys,

After seeing what Terry is up to, I am also thinking of opting for a second set of alloys and thease should be deep dish alloys. Are there any 17 inch ones that anyone can reccomend I look for that will go straight onto my Z1 with out any messing around?

Otherwise I think the OZ Futura in 17 inch available in 4*100 would be what I should be looking for, but I don't want to spend more than £2,000 for them. If anyone sees anything please give me a heads up...

Ben,

Look at the old Pics of the Hamann, the Hamann RS wheels are 17 inch OZ Futura's.
Only the center caps are Hamann, the rest is OZ Futura :D

The new ones are 18 inch. I still feel young. :D
I drive 245/35/18 at the front and 255/35/18 at the rear :|
In kombination with the Hamann (koni red) suspension it is still very comfortable

I agree, that's why I am downsizing in the use of rubber, was at first 275 at the rear and the same size at the front. Hopefully it will improve the ride :D :D Size does matter

They won't fit. The ET is to small to work with adapters/spacers.
And 5/120 to 4/100 is a very expensive adapter system because it is very difficult to get from 5/120 to 4/100. 5/100 or 5/130 is better.
In 5/100 the minimum thickness of the spacer is 15mm. To fit the ET of the wheels in 8,5 and 9,5 have to be around ET30 and higher. :rtm:

That´s what he told me. But I would not built a house on it.
But noticing that they are all telling the same story they will be available in the end.
There is still a good market for the e30 and the VW wheels in 4-100.

I don´t know the exact price but think they will cost around 900 euro´s

I would not pay more then 2000 euro´s. For that money I would say go for a 5/stud conversion, then you can buy much more interesting wheels for less money. :D

but don’t really want to spend £2200 if I can get another option!

Like this for example, when you consider the 4 stud version was advertised for £3000+ last year, £350 for an original set of Alpinas is just criminal

Exactly what I mean Jamal. Another advantage is that you don't have to use spacers and can really drive big deep dished wheels :D

Here is the shopping list with the M3 e30 Parts.
The way Schnitzer did it.

Image

Is is more expensive then I can remember. :bawl: But you can use used parts also.
You can do it also with E36 and M roadster parts. They are cheaper and better to get second hand. But not plug and play and you cannot mount wheels with a low ET number like with the M3 e30 conversion
