Fuel gauge reading off

Post by bluejay »

I had the gears on my dashboard repaired last year here in NL, but since then the fuel gauge indicator is of...

When the tank is full it show 3/4 and when the ignition is off it seems to lie further to the left than previously.

Is there someway to adjust this back easily? I don't want to sent the unit back to the company, thinking that this might be an easy fix?

Thanks
Robert

Once you dismantle the cluster, the needle itself is easy to remove from the spindle.

True, but I don't think the needle has been of it at all...

Connection issue or fuel tank sender?

I am thinking connection issue... perhaps there some increased resistance causing the needle to read lower.

Planning to have Konaclassics here in Nl to have a look at it. I tried connection spray on the connections but had no impact.
