So the 2.7 upgrade is the same specification as Alpina and Hartge ? Performance updates by remapping the ECU on turbocharged cars can be good value for c.50 bhp gains, more with intake, diverter valve and exhaust modifications which cost c £1.5k ?

How much does a 30 bhp engine upgrade cost for a non turbo 6 cylinder BMW ??? the parts and labour won't be cheap. An additional 30 bhp to c 200 bhp is pretty much irrelevant in todays traffic light grand prix where the electric SUV next to you disappears up the road at warp speed while the woman driving it is also doing her make up / drinking coffee / or chatting on the phone.

Nice video
Interesting to see how they are able to remove and fit the engine with hood still on 8-)
If I had to invest on such approach, I would go for 2.9 or 3.0.

If I wanted to exchange the engine I would rather put in a V8...

Who used to do that in the UK? Some surgeon IIRC???
