Most of the bits are easy enough to get frmo a BMW breaker, but why bother? Headlamp washers are one of the many useless things foisted on the motoring public, along with cup holders, foot rests, arm rests, cruise controls, and all the other electronic gizmos anyone can think of.

Afraid I can't agree with you there. If you tend to do a lot of motorway miles in the winter, in the dark, when the roads are continually being salted they are extremely useful.

When I had my Astra I used to keep having to stop to wipe my headlamps to remove the baked on salt/grime layer that was severely cutting the light output of my headlamps - something I have never suffered from with my Zed and its headlamp wash.

However if you live in warm sunny parts where it does not get icy and they don't salt the roads, then you'll not need headlamp washers.

Thanks myredzed for the site info

I need a new surround for my headlamp washer jet and could not find the part number, you have solved my problem by posting the diagram.

Hi guys,

I love headlamp washer on the Zed. Think it makes it look more agressive or something. Sets the front off all the more.

How much are we talking for a retrofit job? Does stalk need to be modified or will it push in at end to activate spray?

Hi Conor

Stalk should be just the same because the headlamp wash only works if you use the screen wash with the lights on. And then I think its about every 5th time or some-such.

Cheers
