Strange vibration

Post by PhilB »

I've got a strange vibration through the steering wheel - even when stationary!!

It's a fairly fast vibration - almost a buzz - which was first noticeable going round tight slowish corners a coupe of hundred miles ago. It was barely noticeable and didn't happen very often. It's been on and off since.

Yesterday I managed to convince myself that it was a sticking caliper that was taking a while to release when going slowly.

Today after about 50 miles dual carriageway at 80ish it started doing it as I got home but when I pulled onto drive it didn't stop until I turned off the engine. Strange! :?: :?

Any thoughts?

Check that all your fan blades are still attached. I speak from experience: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16358

It sounds like it's power steering orientated.

Try checking the hydraulic fluid level and condition of belt.

i,m getting that too, only noticed it Sunday past. I could feel it through gloves. I was in the "ignore it and hope it goes away" mode but after reading some of the possibilities, I might take it to the clinic.
