If anyone is looking to retro fit cruise control in your z3, I have a cruise control stalk (part number: 61318360926) and end button for sale. Please check realOEM.com to confirm part number fits your model. This is a used part but in excellent condition. £30 plus postage, Sytner BMW is charging £150 for this part.

It's the best addition l made to my 3.0

Great on longer journeys, particularly as the 3.0 will accelerate heartily in fifth gear from well under 50mph.

Same here mate, mine the 2.8 (would love the 30litre) and it's been a good addition. I live in South Wales and try and do the Scottish highlands often with friends and it makes the motorway a bit more bearable!

I had a 2.8 Z3 a few years ago.

The 3.0 has more performance but l wouldn't be disappointed with the 2.8. They are both superb cars and my 2.8 was hardly lacking in power.
