Z3 Passenger Door closed/locked will not open

Hi Could I get a little help with ideas now to get my Z3 passenger door open.
Door closed and locked. Does not open using the central locking, outside handle or inside lever mechanism.
The inside lever pops up the button which goes down again as soon as lever released.
Have been able to remove the door card to get inside the door, however lock mechanism tucked away and difficult to see or reach anything.
One star drive bolt to the bottom left has been stripped so cannot release.
Assume I need the door open to get at the other two to release the whole mechanism.
Any ideas how to get door open to effect a fix.

Had this problem recently. The wiring was stuffed (unrelated area physically but the passenger actuator is down stream from a lot of body control module decisions).

I identified the 2 pins on the ZKE responsible for the actuator output and hot-wired them. Bingo.

If that’s your issue it’s often boot loom issues actually causing it.

Otherwise the actuator is probably knackered. You should find write-ups on that but not done that job myself in-situ. But it is a bit fiddly.

May struggle with that fix myself - prob' need to find an auto electrician
Just need a way to open the door to be able to dismantle and replace.

My passenger door will often not unlock. The lever doesn't release it either. It happens almost always if the passenger door is locked by its own button rather than the driver's side button. Sometimes it happens even if the car is locked by the driver's door however. The way to release it is to relock by the driver side button then unlock by the driver's side lever. Then the passenger's door will open. It's always been prone to this and I live with it.

Thanks for the tip. Tried it a few times but did not work I am afraid - my problem must be more deep seated

Try pressing hard and carefully on the door pushing it shut while you operate the release lever This is quite common usually the door lock just needs a bit of oil
