Hard top rear window

Does anybody know if the factory/ dealer fitted hardtop glass heated rear window is bonded in or just on rubber ? I obviously didn’t get the soft top clip in the right place and on refitting hardtop it has “popped “the glass on one side. I can’t see if it is just a case of refitting the rubber with a bit of string like the old days or calling a windscreen fitter to repair. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it is bonded, as there is only a small overlap. If you look on RealOEM/BMWFans, you will see part #17 is a weatherstrip. See http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/Z3-Ro ... top_parts/

Thanks R - now I have another pair of hands available I have removed the hardtop , put it back correctly and the glass seems to have gone back in ok. Panic over
