Hardtop fitting

Post by wyn02 »

Hi guys, happy Christmas. I've bought a hardtop which I've fitted it with relative ease, but the question I'm asking is, I'm putting the side plastic trim that encases the rear speaker and the seat belt mechanism do I have to cut out a piece of it to put it back as the hardtop bracket seems to be prevention it from going back. It might be an obvious answer but I don't want to cut anything if I'm wrong. Thanks

I've taken the turrets off mine, but not the lateral trim panels and mine has hardtop brackets fitted. If they do get in the way it is no big deal to remove them as all the alignment is in the top and not the brackets. So if you unbolt them they should go back in exactly the same place. You certainly shouldn't need to cut anything.

Cheers R.
