Unable to open bonnet!

The release pull is working but catch not disengaging. Any help would be appreciated.

One side or both? There are two catches. Only way to access is to remove the kidney grills.

Might have been a bit lucky with mine but with an assistant operating the release lever and myself gently putting pressure on the bonnet to take the pressure off the catches it did release.
once it was open dismantled the assemblies and cleaned and greased them, jobs a goodun.
