I'm 6'2" and look more like Noddy than James Bond in my 2002 model Z3.
One of the problems I've put up with for years is that the top of my head sticks proud above the front windscreen and gives my 'barnet' a proper hammering if belting along at speed.
I had the idea that attaching something to the sun visors which, when in the up position, would give an extra inch to satisfactorily heighten the airflow and may work but wondered if there is anything commercially available, may be not specifically for the Zed but any make?
Front screen wind deflector?
Re: Front screen wind deflector?
I know exactly what you mean, I'm also 6.2 tall. It is blowing hard up there! I looked to find something. Finally I started to work with my 3D printer putting som wind wing on the sun visors. My prototype was something like 3 x 3 inches in size, covering the full length of the visors.
It helped so little that I gave it up.
Hopefully I can attach some photos form my 3D printer program. As a tall man, have you tried to take the foam away, placed under the carpet behind the drivers seat. This will make it possible to get at least one inch more backwards!

Re: Front screen wind deflector?
Cheers.....
Great work. It looks like it should do the job but I guess there's a good reason why nothing similar appears to be available for any make of convertible.
I'm thinking of trying some thin acrylic sheet cut to fit across the entire width of the screen, attached to both sun visors with elasticated straps and velcro fastening. I've also thought of using the holes in each end of the windscreen top - where the hood pins go - to secure similar.
Good idea re the carpet removal but I just about fit, and do so few miles to get much benefit.

Re: Front screen wind deflector?
I guess you are already using a wind deflector attached to the roll-over bars.
With my solution, it seems like the air is not changing to a higher altitude over my head. Maybe the distance is to far between the sun visors and my head. As I said, it helped so little that I gave up.
