Z3M Roadster for sale - 1999, Dakar Yellow, 47K miles

Post by Batchem1 »

Reluctant sale, but I need the garage space for another project.
The Yella Fella, registered August 1999, tax and MOT to April 2014, registration S3 TYF included. Not immaculate, but a good, solid original car with lots of life and fun left in it.
Excellent bodywork, apart from a couple of chips on the bonnet edge which the previous owner seems to have touched in with Dulux paint. Interior good, I refurbished the leather a few months ago and there are a couple of minor scuffs/cracks. Hood good, again I refurbished that before the Summer. Wheels are OK - a couple of repairable knocks. It has a cd changer in the boot, a boot rack and a bright yellow BMW indoor duct cover.
Good service record up to 3 years ago when the previous owner bought the car. He had it for 3 years, drove less than 1000 miles and it wasn't touched. When I bought it in April I took it to the specialists Emtech in Salisbury for a full fluids change and inspection - and it came out with flying colours. The front tyres are new Contis with a few hundred miles on them, the rears are also Contis and are OK.
I thought I'd offer it first on this forum and hope that it'll go to a good home.
Priced to sell at £7250.

Great low mileage example. Great colour. Great price.

Very low mileage and a rare colour - the other aesthetic wrinkles are no more than you would expect on a car of this age and if anything reinforce the "honesty" of the car - should fly off the shelf. Only negative is selling at the start of the British autumn and the rain :bawl:

Wish I could snatch your hand off!
Lovely low mileage and colour but my 2 litre did less than 400 miles between MOT's last year so it is difficult to justify another Z!

Strange that it appears to carry a different Reg No front to rear. That could confuse the Big Brother cameras.

Well spotted - the earlier pics I took in the garage at home just after I'd bought the car and spent a weekend on the paintwork, the later pic is at Budleigh Salterton after I'd bought and installed the new number.
Nothing untoward going on!

Hi Batchem1, best of luck with the sale - looks a beauty!

I was just wondering what 'shade' or 'colour' your alloys are? I'm looking to get mine refurbished soon, and love the look of yours!

Hi DavidZ3,
The allows are standard polished, as far as I know.
Can post a closer pic of a wheel if that would help.

They look like "shadow chrome" finish but I could be wrong with it being just a trick of the light with the camera.

Don't worry about it buddy. I'm sure when I go to the workshop they'll have all the different samples I could need
Thanks

Summer's here (hopefully) and the Yella Fella has emerged sparkling and newly MOT'd (not even a single comment!) from the garage, looking for a lucky new owner.
I'm all set for an ad in Auto Trader but would like him to go to a good new home, so thought I'd resurrect the draft ad on here first.
And I may even be open to sensible offers just to avoid the hassle of selling through a national site.
Thanks,
Mike
