Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
they are closed today and i can't find the part on their web site anyway!
Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
Ok, so stoped work on the front suspentions as it was raining.
I had a look on euro car parts, GSF and they don't sell the part I want.
I looked on e-bay but everything seems to be from the USA.
Do I have to go to a BMW dealer then? no choice?

Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
Some generic stuff on Ebay (I recommend doing a search) and a I've found a firm called "Demon Tweaks" to be very good (and helpful) in the past when buying suspension parts for other cars. Is everything else ok i.e. the dust covers and metal washers etc.?
Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
I found demon tweak but they din't sell the part!
Everything else is ok. I just repainted the top steel spring seats as they were quite rusty.
I have been looking all evenung on the internet and can't find anyone selling these stop bumps... appart the USA!
Part number is 31331092670 ...

Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
Just go to a dealer and stop wasting your time trying to find a cheaper source - and anyway, do you know how much they are? Lots of things are cheap from a dealer - strut mounts for my Z3 cost £23, whereas those for my Mk.II Golf GTI cost £70 - and the cheaper non-VW type fall to bits under heavy conrering loads.
A Z3 is not just for Christmas - it's for life!
Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
I wane to my local BMW dealer today.
The price for a pair of stop bumps is 36£! It's not cheap but I can't find them anywhere else.
So I ordered them, and I've been told they will be there tomorrow, apparently there is only 3 sets of those in the whole UK...
I'm sure icould have fitted a slightly different pair from a E36 but anyway as mike says, this could be a lot of time wasted just for a few pounds!

Everything fitted, test drive done tonight, what a difference!
Re: HELP - Front suspention bump stop
Wait until you do the rears
In my experience, tends to dispel any reports that the Z3 doesn't have decent handling. I think there's just a lot around with tired 10+ year old suspension.

I have done the rears in March... I may change the anti roll bars buches too.
