Air con front pipe mount

Post by dazthephot »

Hi all. At the front of my 1.9 is a rectangular shaped pipe run that I’m sure is part of the air con system. It’s secured to the car’s frame with rubberised bolts which have all worn and broke.
Does anyone have a part number please? Or a link to the real oem page. Thank you.

Any chance of a photo of the part your asking about, just had a look on oem and couldn't see any aircon pipe like yiu describe. Are you confusing the power steering cooling pipe at the front of the car with an aircon part, the power steering pipe is mounted with rubber bolts, here is the oem page which shows the part https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Aah you are indeed wise my friend!
Who knew the power steering fluid needed cooling?
Thank you very much that’s exactly what I need.

It's part 14 on the link. And they are about £3.50 each from the dealer.

Common fault for the rubber to break off from the backing plate. Not really surprising either at about 20 years old!

Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s :)
Always happy to try and help with spares :)

Thought it would be the power steering cooling loop fixings you were after. Whilst your in there give the pipe a good look over for any corrosion, living at the front of the car they tend to get a battering and corrode.
