2000 Z3 2.0 manual, Topaz blue, blue leather & hood, £1600
***EDIT 21/9/14*** Car now has fresh 12 month MOT with no advisories and 6 months tax.
Hi guys,
As per the title, 2000 facelift (wider rear arches, new style lights etc), with the 2.0 6-cylinder engine.
Car is a manual (Getrag box I believe), topaz blue, five-spoke (2.8 model?) alloy wheels, good straight body and paint, electric leather seats, great condition blue hood, rear window like new. Afew stonechips and very minor scratches- nothing of consequence and I'm fussy when it comes to body/ paint!
Mechanically sound, drives A1, if your nearby come and have a drive, you will not be disappointed. Engine, brakes, suspension, tyres etc all good.
Car went into 'limp home' mode a couple of times in my first week of ownership, this resolved itself after a motorway run to Kent at the beginning of March and has never come back. The vehicle had stood for a couple of months before my purchase, so Im sure it relates to that. This is fairly well documented on this site, and a PM to Mr Mike Fishwick certainly put my mind at ease regarding this! Engine sounds perfect and pulls perfectly right through the revs, oil level checked regularly, service indicator not yet showing as due.
Electric windows are a little slow, but both go fully up and down without issue. Seats and mirrors work perfectly. Sound system is great, and has an aux connection for your IPod/ phone.
105k miles, good history with plenty of stamps (see images), although it is due for a service. MOT until September, 3 months tax. Full V5 is present.
I am the 6th owner, bought the car 23/2/14 but have just been promoted ( ) so looking to upgrade- Ill keep it BMW obviously! Car stands me £2489, Id like to get as much of that back as possible given that Ive put very few miles on it!
I think the car is priced reasonably for a facelift with a 6 cylinder engine (waiting to be corrected!) but am open to sensible offers.
Car is in Watford (north London area) and lives in a warm, secure underground carpark.

Car hasnt gone into 'limp-home' mode since my first couple of weeks ownership- and its driven daily, so presumably a sensor issue which has now sorted itself out. Please dont be put off by this guys, infact, if you can make the car do this now, Ill take it back off you with a full refund!
Now on just over 107K miles, and driving perfectly.

I see according to the autotrader advert it's got 3x3 rear seat belts? I'd be upping your price a bit, that makes it a rare old beast!!

So am I mad, or is this quite cheap now?!
Facelift 6 cylinder cars with same spec and higher mileage going for alot more- take a look at AT. Many of them in less desirable colours, no leather, shonkier wheels etc.
107K miles on the clock, wears them very well indeed- body and paint are excellent.
Mechanically perfect- limp-home mode NEVER happens, car just needed driving to be flawless. No knocks, bumps or rattles, tyres have tons of meat left, clutch and gearbox perfect, engine pulls beautifully smoothly. Hood is in great condition, bright blue and rear window virtually as new. It's also waterproof(!).
Blue leather is lovely, slight wear on drivers bolster but no holes or rips- would be 100% with some leather treatment rubbed on it. Electric seats work fine.
Five spoke alloys touched up carefully by myself, so no nasty kerb marks. Front bonnet/ clamshell in good knick- I keep it clear of leaves and detritus and give it a regular polish and T-Cut.
My cars are perpetually for sale (bad habit, but surely Im not the only one?!), and never put them on AT, PH or EBay (only other ad is on RetroRides). I appreciate that owners clubs aren't always the best place to sell- let's face it, everyone on here already has a Z! I also know that you guys know and love these cars and are aware of their values, so hopefully it's clear that this is well priced.
I've had her nearly a year now, and really would like a winter 4x4, so Im willing to let this go for sub £2K.
Buy her cheap in winter and enjoy her in summer, maybe even make a cheeky profit! I know we're all hard-up in December, but I'll need to stick her on AT soon, and at the moment I'd suggest this is a big of a hidden bargain...

Still (perpetually) for sale, and still used daily.
On approx 111K miles now with 8 months MOT.
Looking sharp as ever:
Great value 6-cyl facelift!

These cars are so cheap at the moment. I'm amazed they don't sell like hot cakes at these prices.
Maybe people are scared because it's a BMW and they think it will cost a lot to repair.

For those PMing me (thankyou, by the way) I am firm on the price of £1900. It's very cheap for what it is, and it won't be going any lower. Just a friendly reminder .

Bump for price drop to £1900.
Still in daily use, approx 114K miles.
Short MOT, but no reason to suspect it'll fail (previous MOTs available)- need to sell now as moving from London to north of England at end of Sept and need a motorway mile muncher.
Cheapest 6-cyl for sale at the mo?

Moving back to London in September to work as a locum Optometrist, which means driving to different parts of London most days. Want an automatic for the traffic. Car is mechanically faultless.
Re: 2000 Z3 2.0 manual, Topaz blue, blue leather & hood, £19
Just a pity it's a right-hand drive or i'd have jumped at it.
All i can say is at that price it's a steal in any currency a fine looking car

I really should advertise it properly (and for a bit more money) but I suspect deep down I dont really want to let it go...

£1750 for this beauty.
MOT until Sept 2019 (2 rear tyres low and windscreen chip advisories) and 129K miles- still in daily use.
Feel like Im giving this away but needs gone now, had for far too long.
Nothing new to report condition wise other than a scuff on the drivers side rear bumper.

I agree, but honestly Ive had the car for 5 years and as much as I love it and its looked after me, its time for a change.
Its not a showroom example but its good for its age and a bargain for someone- lots of happy miles left in it!

Re: 2000 Z3 2.0 manual, Topaz blue, blue leather & hood, £1600
Price drop to £1600 now guys, fresh MOT til Sept 2019- only advisories are chip in windscreen, one rear tyre has a screw (holds pressure perfectly) and other rear tyre getting low on tread.
This is a seriously good deal now, got my eye on a mk1 MX5 so need it gone asap.
Any tips on how/ where best to sell Z3s (other than a further price drop, which I don't feel is required!) would be greatly appreciated.
