Aerial booster

Post by stupot50 »

Has anyone managed to delete the booster and replace it with a different aerial? I've replaced mine, with second hand units 3 times in the last 2 years but they all break at the point where the aerial screws in.

Mine failed due to the small internal braided wire corroding away, managed to solder a replacement small wire in to repair it. Whilst mending it I did fit a roof mounted aerial base in place of the unit but it wasn't a good fit and the rake of the mast was sloping back too much, it didn't look right. Finding an alternative was impossible for me.
