Z3 unknown pipe possibly drain?

Post by mid life z »

Hi
In the boot of my Z3 if I remove the little cubby box I can see a plastic pipe that goes through a grommet to the outside of the car but I'm not sure we're the other end should go?
Can anyone help

Cheers

Most likely the hydrogen vent tube for the battery. Has a little L-piece on the end that goes into a port on the battery.

Here's a not terribly good pic of the tube on my car (photo was actually for something else). You can just see the tube in the gap between the battery and the body in the bottom of the battery well.

Robert
Thanks very much. I'll look into it being from the battery.

Dear 137699
I am unsure what your content means? Being that I don't post often on the couple of occasions i have then this method appears to be effective. Do you suggest an alternate I should be aware/able to use?

Cheers T.
